According to a source quoted by Leadership newspaper, ‘‘The governor had a fracture on the right arm and some cuts on the left side of his head. He lost a lot of blood because he had some cuts in his body. He had a placement count volume (PVC) of 18 as against 45, which is the average for adults, translating to 60 per cent blood count loss. So, we had to transfuse blood into his system.’’
