Reports say that Reuben was on Sunday in Lagos honoured as the ``Player of the Year” award, as well as ``Best National Team Player” for 2012.
Reuben said that the awards were a recognition of his hard work, adding that they would motivate him to work harder.
``I’m very excited about the awards I have won. It is an indication of how hard I have been working to better my career.
``It’s coming at a point when I’m really looking for the motivational drive to push me forward and I believe that this achievement will make me to work harder.
``I want to thank the organisers of the ceremony for deeming it fit to give me these awards because it has not been easy,” he said.
Reuben added that he was satisfied with the Africa Cup of Nations draw where the Super Eagles would play defending champions Zambia in Group C.
``We stand a good chance of progressing. I’m happy with the Nations Cup draw and I think our group is just okay.
``I believe we will qualify from the group and make the country proud.
``In spite of the fact that we will play the defending champions, I’m still positive that we will do quite well when we play against them,” he said.
The 22-years old player also expressed his appreciation to fans and coaches for their support.
