The bishop also urged Nigerians to use the period to pray for the nation, noting that with fervent prayers, the current security challenges and other problems confronting the nation would be surmounted.
``Nigerians should use the Christmas period to pray more for the country. The period calls for sober reflection and stock-taking of how we have been living our lives.
``We should share whatever we have with our neighbours and the less privileged so that God will be happy with us.
``People should refrain from immoral behaviours and over-eating and drinking during the Christmas,’’ he said and wished all Nigerians merry Christmas and happy New Year in advance.
