NRC Begins Saturday Passengers’ Train Services on Lagos-Ilorin Route on Sept. 29

The Lagos Railway District Manager (RDM), Mr Paul Ndibe, made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen in Lagos.

Reports state that the NRC had in 2011 began Friday passenger train services on the Lagos-Ilorin route, to which it added Tuesday passenger train services on the same route in Jan.

Ndibe explained that the train would leave Iddo Terminus in Lagos by 9:00 a.m. every Saturday for Ilorin and return to Lagos on Sunday.

“The increase in services was necessary to decongest the Tuesday and Friday passenger train services.

“We hope this extension in our service will be a relief to commuters who can now have more time to plan their journeys and help alleviate the hardship experienced by our esteemed customers,” Ndibe said.
