This is contained in a statement issued in Bauchi and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Isa Yuguda, Mr Ishola Michael.
The statement said the government condoled with the families of the victims and promised to do everything possible to track down the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
``There is no way we will allow criminals and terrorists to continue to live among us and keep on terrorising innocent people even in their places of worship.”
The statement urged the citizens of the state to see the attack as aimed at all of them and said that they should come together to fight the evil and the terrorists living among them by exposing the perpetrators of the attack.
It pleaded for calm and appealed to friends and families of the victims not to do anything that ``will aggravate the already tensed situation in order to preserve the law and order in the state’’.
``Let us allow the security operatives to do their work; we should please avoid anything that will lead to the loss of more lives and disrupt the peace that we are enjoying in the state,’’ it added.
The incident occurred after the morning service in the Church and that 46 people were also injured in the attack.
