MI, TuFace Set to ‘invade’ US

Music heavyweights, MI and TuFace will lead the pack, with support performances by Jesse Jags, Brymo, J.Martins, Timi Dakolo and Inyanya.

“This is the first time ever we are introducing the reigning young artistes in the different African regions into the US music concert circuits. It is big, it is all the way live with bands and it is a seven city tour starting from Aug. 1 to Aug. 12,” a representative of the sponsors said during a meeting with journalists in Lagos.

The tour is the first in a series that will feature popular singers and musicians from other parts of Africa, showcasing their talents to a wide audience in the US.

Excited by the prospects, TuFace and MI say they are happy to be part of the event. “I have been in different shows and concerts around the world, but this Live Nation involvement is bigger and better in terms of packaging, massive publicity and upscale venues in the US. This is clearly the international concerts and exposures many of us new generation artistes based in Africa have been longing and praying for,” TuFace says.
