The state Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Waziri, told newsmen in Yola that the party had mobilised its supporters for the election.
"We are 100 per cent ready. We are fielding candidates for councillorship position in all the 21 local government areas of the state and candidates for chairmanship in 14 local government areas.
"We have confidence in the people we are fielding and the mass support we have in the grass roots that we shall carry the day by the grace of God,'' Waziri said.
Waziri said that he expected the state Independent Electoral Commission to conduct a free, fair and credible poll, and added that his party would rely on popular support of the people to protect its votes during the election.
Also speaking the only female chairmanship candidate under the platform of CPC, Hajiya Fati Yawale, who is contesting for Fufore Local Government seat, said with the support she has seen from the people of the area she was certain of victory.
"Even before I commenced my campaign the acceptance I got from the people over this project was overwhelming. All I can say now is to thank God for the support,'' Yawale said.
Yawale said she has a big package in area of empowerment for women and youth in Fufore Local Government area when elected.
According to her, the present Senator of southern zone and member representing Fufore/Song federal constituency who all hail from Fufore Local Government under the platform of PDP, had not done much to the people of the area and she would make a difference as a chairman when elected.
