Celebrity Peace Ambassadors Inspires Young Nigerian Students across the Nation

Through the “Aim Higher” School to School Programs touring Nigerian High Schools, Ambassadors such as Weird MC, Lepacious Bose, Goldie Harvey, Sound Sultan, Ruggedman, Owen Gee, Kofi, SeyiShey, Lafup, Gaise Baba, Mc Diouf and more have been inspiring Nigerian Students.

The “Aim Higher” project is part of the National development activities through which the Ambassadors are contributing to rebuilding Nigeria.

Whilst introducing the speakers at the schools, Special Representative to the United Nations and the coordinator of “Ambassadors in Action”,  Dayo Israel emphasised on the importance of giving back to the society and empowering the future.

In His words,  “This program is designed to help inspire the younger generation, showcasing to students that Talent is not Enough, and whatever your dream is, Education is key”.

The first phase of the project showcases celebrities and entertainers who have acquired education in addition to their talent.

The various Ambassadors wowed the students with their eloquence and content. Celebrity Big Brother Housemate – Goldie Harvey while speaking at CMS Grammar School in Lagos inspired the students to be determined.

“I lost my mum in 1991 as a child and had to take responsibility for my sibling as the firstborn. The period was a challenging phase of my life but I was determined to make the best of my life. Determination is a key to success,” Goldie said.

Weird MC on the other hand encouraged the students to majorly devote their time to do what they love passionately.

Sharing about the pain of success, she shared stories of her struggles in the entertainment industry and how she persevered to become who she is today.

“You must prayerfully work hard to enter the future you desire” she added.

It wasn’t an all female affair as Ruggedman challenged the student at Diadem College.

"What you can never afford to lose is your freedom. And remember, everything in life is about choice. Even if you do nothing, you have made a choice. Your choice today determines the tomorrow you would see".  He said.

He also made the students promise to work hard to build a better tomorrow for themselves.

Tears were seen on the faces of students at Sunnyside College Ilupeju as Owen Gee spoke passionately about making your life count. He spoke emotionally about starting to make a difference at a Young age.

Owen who was one of the best students in Lagos State displayed his result sheet to the student inspiring them to give their education their all.

The project is expected to move from Lagos to Oyo and other parts of the Southwest before moving to the South South, North and Eastern part of Nigeria. Students from all participating school are also expected to benefit from a 2 weeks work placement program for High School students in partnership with Sesewa Support Services; a recruitment agency headquartered in Lagos.
