The palace announced the news Monday, saying, "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July."
It also provided an update on Kate's health following her nasty bout with acute morning sickness, noting, "The Duchess' condition continues to improve since her stay in [the] hospital last month."
Indeed, Will and Kate were out and about last week to celebrate the duchess' 31st birthday, catching a performance of Cirque du Soleil in London with her family and a posse of pals. (They even managed to poke fun at Wills during the show!)
The palace has also confirmed that the royal couple are on the hunt for a housekeeper for their home at Kensington Palace, telling reporters that the position "has been advertised internally."
The duo had previously denied they were looking for extra help, but with a baby on the way and royal duties beckoning, who can blame them for needing a few more hands on deck?
And although it may be too soon to determine the baby's gender, the blue-blooded bundle of joy will already have a title waiting for it regardless, as Queen Elizabeth II recently decreed that her next great-grandchild's title will be prince or princess and be referred to as His or Her Royal Highness.
