Mr Joshua Oyedele, the State Chairman of the association, gave the assurance in an interview.
Oyedele said that AFAN had reported the inadequacy of fertilizer as experienced in the outgoing year to the government and the issue was being addressed.
``Leadership of our association has been meeting with the Federal Government and we have been promised that the supply will begin in February.
``All farmers will get fertilizer before the commencement of next farming season,” he assured.
Oyedele, who is also the President of the State’s Farmers Congress, said that commodity associations under the congress have been included to access government’s guaranteed loans.
He said that farmers would soon meet with the state Ministry of Agriculture to discuss modalities for accessing the loan.
Oyedele urged the farmers to get prepared for the loan.
He also advised them to make judicious use of the loan when they get it.
Meanwhile, the Agriculture and Allied Employees Union of Nigeria (AAEUN), has appealed to the Federal Government to address the challenges of low agricultural production and unemployment.
Mr Moses Adeusi, the state Chairman of the union, attributed the nation’s economic problems to chronic corruption, wasteful political system and faulty revenue sharing formula.
He also said that the union was partnering with other unions to clamour for the involvement of more youths in agriculture.
This, he said, was in order to enhance the attainment of food security.
